Somatic Therapy Speaker & Nervous System Training for Organizations and Clinical Teams in Georgia

Speaking & Training

The nervous system doesn't stay in the therapy room.

Burnout. Secondary trauma. Chronic stress. These show up in clinical teams, faith communities, organizations, and anywhere people are doing sustained work with other people's pain. Most of the time nobody has the language for what's happening, let alone the tools to address it.

Dr. Christine Baker brings both. With a PhD in Counselor Education and certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, she translates the science of nervous system regulation into something any room can understand and use. The topic adapts to your context and your people. The framework is always the same: what is the nervous system doing here, and what does it need?

Whether you're a clinical team, a faith community, a nonprofit, or an organization carrying more than your people know how to hold, the conversation starts with your specific question.

WHY IT MATTERS

Understanding your nervous system changes everything.

When people understand what's actually happening in their bodies under stress, something shifts. Not just intellectually. They stop reading their own reactions as character flaws and start recognizing them as nervous system responses. That single reframe changes how people show up in conflict, how they recover from hard moments, and how present they're able to be in the role they're already in.

Nervous system education doesn't require a therapy room. It requires someone who can make complex science feel personal rather than clinical, who can bring a room into the material rather than lecture at it.

That's what Dr. CB does. She has spent years bringing somatic concepts to audiences who never expected to find themselves talking about their nervous system, and leaving those rooms different than she found them. People leave with language for what they've been living and tools they can use the same day they hear them.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Meet Dr. Christine Baker

Christine Baker knows what it's like to be the person holding everyone else's hard things while quietly unraveling underneath. She's navigated burnout, nervous system dysregulation, and what it actually costs to show up for other people's pain day after day. That lived experience doesn't just inform her training. It's the reason people in the room feel like she's talking about their actual lives rather than a clinical concept.

She holds a PhD in Counselor Education, is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist, and has spent over a decade in trauma work. She is the founder of Dr. CB Therapy and the Somatic Wellness Collective, and the host of the Everyday Simple Somatics podcast.

She doesn't deliver content. She reads the room, meets people where their nervous systems actually are, and builds from there.
